My name is Joselyn Moss the author, and photographer behind. I started my cooking blogging journey in 2008 when I was a high school student.
At that time I didn’t write anything about me, but as I grow old I discovered that it’s very important for my visitors to know something about https://www.actlord.com’s and who is behind its posts and recipes. This is a kind of reinforcing connections and building some trust between me and you, and hopefully, I did succeed in this mission.
My only goal when I first create https://www.actlord.com was to share with you my passion for cooking through my little kitchen. I find cooking is where my comfort, I love to discuss with friends and family about cooking tips and ideas, sharing recipes and other kitchen related stuff. I started to love cooking mostly because home-cooked food is fresher, better and healthier. It seems that nowadays it has become a luxury few can afford. Our lives seem overwhelmingly busy and "fast-food" is a common term in this hectic world.
I discovered that I feel challenged by trying to make food from scratch, like learning to make bread without yeast, making my own pastry dough instead of buying, I discovered that I really enjoy working with flour therefore baking is one of my favorite parts of cooking.
In my private life, I am the happy mother of two handsome teenage twin boys, Oscar and Oliver. And a little sweet girl of 9 years old (Anna).
By the time I started, I knew almost nothing about blogging and I still consider I have a lot to learn. Simply because is a very sophisticated space and no one can dominate it, so my hard work should be stable and consistent to satisfy you.
This blog was meant from the beginning as a possibility to share good and as much as possible healthy recipes and good information related to food. It's not a blog about my personal life, I like to restrict my posts specific to that recipe story. English is not my native language, so be indulgent with me if any errors occur. I would appreciate if you notice any mistake to just let me know :).
Regarding the photography, I have to admit it's something I have discovered only after I started this blog.
I still consider it the most difficult part of this website. My first recipes photos are far from what I tend to but I think I have evolved in this chapter and still have a lot to learn. I am using a Canon EOS 7D camera and Canon 50mm f/1.4 and Canon EF100mm f/2.8L macro lenses. For editing, I am using Photoshop CS5.
All in all, Home Cooking Adventure is about the passion me and my husband share for excellent flavors, freshly pounded spices, decadent sweets, and savory dishes. We want to introduce new creative ways to cook and show how you can have a blast in the kitchen. Hope you will enjoy these recipes as much as we do.
